Day 3 of PIano Camp

After church, we took the boys to the park by their old house.
Gramma tried to climb without shoes, but it was too wet and muddy.

The shoes didn't stop her from ascending the climbing wall.

After not seeing or hearing anything from the "boys,"
I decided to check on them.
I found them hanging out together.
This is the best part of us being reunited.

Andrew is one that enjoys the frosting of his cake.
When the frosting is completely gone,
he begins on the cake.

Grampa eats his pie from the point to the crust.
Gramma eats hers from the crust and the point to the middle.

In our family, dessert was never served to those who did not eat their dinner.
Our children were known to look at the dinner and ask,
"What's for dessert?" to decide if they were going to finish dinner.

And the whole family likes their ice cream to last until the last bite of the cake.
Just some of the "sweeter" points of our family.

Even Nolan went bowling with us.
Of course he chose an orange ball.

The twins started with the ball on the floor and gave it a big push.
Nolan insisted on holding the ball until he threw/dropped it.

Andrew would send his ball down the lane and run back to the scoring table.
We tried to encourage him to stay and watch what happened with his ball,
until we realized he was rushing back to watch the electronic depiction of the pins falling.
It's a new generation, where what happens on the screen takes precedence.

Matt arrived for bowling with his own ball, bag and powder ball.
He explained to us that their are different waxing styles on the lanes to put spins on the balls.
The lanes we went to, didn't seem to have concerned themselves with the snooty bowlers.
I guess Matt's game suffered because of the wax.
Ryan Joseph was victorious in both games.
Grampa wants it known that in the last game he was only one pin behind Ryan Joseph.

Nathan and I designed a log cabin with the same Lincoln Logs
Grampa used when he was a child.
The roof had a very unique design.

At breakfast, Grampa brought out the whipping cream for the crepes and pancakes.
Andrew reminded him, "And don't forget my thumb."
Nathan enjoyed it, too.

Nathan remembers the technique perfectly.
Grampa was so touched that Andrew would have remembered this from our Fridays.
I imagine this tradition may pass to the next generation.

Uncle Ryan is able to get his godson to do his cute belly laugh.
He has had a lot of practice with the twins.
