Grampa noticed that his cookies often have a bite missing.
He set a trap to catch the mouse nibbling on his cookie.

This is a very clever mouse, who also likes macadamia nut cookies.
She got a couple of bites and didn't get caught in the trap.
She has lots of practice fooling Grampa.

Nolan and Grampa work on fixing Daddy's music box, which he got 19 years ago.
They had it apart and back together four times.
Nolan operates a screwdriver like a pro.
He especially enjoys the kaleidoscope attached to the music box.

If there's a table, Seth thinks snack should be served.
If he observes Grampa eating a bite of something during the day,
he runs to his highchair in anticipation of sharing Grampa's snack.

If someone's reading a book,
Seth wants to turn the pages.

Seth's lunch time is 11:30 AM.
Nolan's is at noon.
When Nolan has his lunch,
Seth thinks he should have lunch again.

Seth wonders where his bib is.

Nolan arrived this morning with his traffic rug.
He thought Grampa would enjoy playing with it.
He was right.
They park cars, drive cars and put animals everywhere.

Grampa was doing magic tricks for Nolan.
For his finale he was making a quarter disappear and reappear.
He asked Nolan if he knew what the coin was.
Nolan told him it was a penny.
Grampa said, "It's bigger than a penny."
Then Nolan guessed, "A dime?"
Grampa said, "Bigger than a dime."
Nolan responded confidently, "A nickel."
And again he was right.

News from the California Gentlemen

My nature boys.

A scene from Wind in the Willows?

If there's a mountain,
the boys will climb it.

Can't wait to see them in person.
They're turning six next week.
