Love

It's great to come home when love is waiting.

Seth lights up with every cell in his body.

And he knows the world feels perfect in Grampa's arms.

Seth gets down with his super heroes.

Gramma, do you want to play, too?
Of course.

Hunter, Nolan's friend, and Gramma's grand-piano-student (child of a former student)
are close friends.
Friends are the family you choose,
So, on Fridays Hunter is just one more gentleman.

Superheroes are even better shared with friends.

Their fantasy world is so precious to observe.
They create dramas that are imaginative and delightful.

I remember playing Barbie dolls with friends,
We dressed them up, which must have been the only point of our play.
We would make the dolls move and say, "Walk, walk, walk."
I don't remember any real dialogue.
And we never saved the world with them.

Grampa decided it was time for me to get going on making Rebecca's bridal veil.

He has been to at least six fabric stores.
Some of them without me, doing his own research.
What he found out is no one has ever tried to make a veil like this before,

.

He created a wood jig to turn rattail into a beautiful design.
I did all of the sewing.
He cleaned all the blood out of the veil.

The finished project.
All it needs is a beautiful bride to pull it off.

News from the California Crew

The weather always cooperates for an Easter egg hunt in California.

In Chicago, you may have to hunt in the snow.
And you won't find a Star Wars egg.

These guys are cuter than the bunnies.

These boys make life so good.
They are happiness magnets.

Look out Daddy.  It's time to ante up.
