Nolan found a place to play that is beyond Seth's reach.
But Seth is happy to be standing up to his big brother.
I went into the basement and found all the recessed lights no longer recessed.
It looked like a groundhog had been working on the ceiling.
Grampa is working on a project to run an ethernet cable to the living room.
He was running the cable through the basement ceiling.
Then I found him under the piano, drilling a hole in the wall,
to get to the otherside of the hole he put behind the stove in the kitchen.
What he didn't know was that there is a secret space between the two walls.
And that it already has residents living there.
Our Smalls in the walls are not happy with him.
Seth is most interested in Nolan's toys.
He know those little Matchbox cars are some of his favorites.
Nolan explained to Seth that they were his.
But he agreed to share with Seth.
Seth is happy to be in the passenger seat with his brother.
We are careful to put Seth in the side that does not open.
Gramma took Nolan to the library,
since Grampa doesn't bring any books home when he takes Nolan.
We built a building while we were there.
Nolan makes himself at home at the library.
They have everything a boy needs there.
Nolan found a book he was interested in.
At the checkout, they have entertinment for the children waiting in line.
Back at home, Nolan gets out his daddy's old blocks to build.
He is definitely aiming to build high rises.
Seth can pull himself up to standing.
Nolan created a gate in our kitchen.
I don't know if he thinks we need it for Seth or not.
But he and Grampa have a lot of fun with it.
We tell Nolan that if Seth screams or cries, it means he doesn't like it.
Seth definitely likes this, though.
The mouse on the right, chose a diet of chocolate.
It is definitely not a healthy diet.
The mouse on the left is thinking his next meal over.
He stayed frozen in place for hours.
Eventually, he ran across the kitchen.
Grampa was ready with a cardboard box to remove him.
Grampa is not quite as good at removing mice as Rebecca's cat.
Nor is he as brave.
\
The mouse war goes on...
and on.
News from the California Gentlemen
The boys celebrated Daddy's birthday on a boat with the Blue Angels flying overhead.
Andrew is wearing his new glasses and Nathan is wearing his old smile.
I need to buy a hat like this. It would help my bad hair days.
